About
The Marion Rotary Club was chartered by Rotary International on February 3, 1939. Our club meets Thursdays at 12:00 p.m. at the Marion Community Building located at 191 N. Main St., Marion, NC 28752. We are proud to have a membership that reflects ethnic, racial and gender diversity and is comprised of representatives from business, governmental, nonprofits and local community individuals. Rotary is divided into geographical districts. The Marion Club is in District 7670, which is comprised of 51 clubs which span from Murphy to Mooresville with 2000+ members and is administered by a District Governor. Club Organization consists of a board of directors elected by club members. THE OBJECT OF ROTARY To encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise and to encourage and foster: *The development of acquaintance as an opportunity for service. *High ethical standards in business and professions. *The recognition of worthiness of all useful occupations. *The dignifying by each Rotarian of his occupation as an opportunity to serve society *The advancement of international understanding, goodwill, and peace through a world fellowship of business and professional persons united in the ideal of service.
