On Saturday, June 7th at 5:00 PM, something BIG is happening in McDowell County — and we want you to be with us. At the Livermush Festival City Stage, we’re hosting a City of Marion Ribbon Cutting unlike any other. This isn’t just a ribbon cutting. This is a community-wide celebration of resilience, renewal, and rebirth following the devastation of Hurricane Helene. Led by the McDowell Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the City of Marion, Marion Business Association, MTCC’s Small Business Center, and McDowell Tourism, this event marks a defining moment: 👉 The turning of a page. 👉 A symbol of strength. 👉 And the start of our next chapter. Let’s show up — and show out. We need a big, joyful, united crowd. This event is our collective exhale — a visible, joyful reminder that McDowell is not just recovering, but transforming.
