Veteran Owned Groomer Opens in Old Fort
On Thursday, October 2nd, local community members, chamber ambassadors, loyal customers and many others gathered to celebrate the ribbon cutting ceremony at Southern Paws Grooming in Old Fort. Owners Rose and John Catanzaro were proud to share their beautiful salon and pet boutique with those in attendance, and their excitement to be open and part of the local community was palpable.
Southern Paws is a certified AKE and SAFE salon, and they are a Veteran owned business. Rose and John take great pride in their pet grooming, as well as their beautifully renovated business space. The McDowell County Chamber Executive Director, Kim Effler, shared a story about grooming her family’s dog in the time of COVID-19 and how she appreciates Rose and John’s hard work. Marion City Manager Bob Boyette warmly welcomed the Catanzaros to the community and commended them on the impact their business will have on the local economy. Old Fort Alderman Jerome Effler also welcomed the new business owners and expressed his gratitude for their local community involvement.
