Vaya Provides Free Screenings of Impactful Movie During National Suicide Awareness Month
Suicide is preventableAs part of National Suicide Awareness Month, Vaya Health is pleased to offer free virtual screenings of "Suicide: The Ripple Effect" weeknights at 7 p.m. through September 30. Sponsored by the Vaya Consumer and Family Advisory Committee, the film shines a light on people who are using experiences with suicide to help others find the hope they need to stay alive.
The film chronicles the story of Kevin Hines, who at age 19 attempted to take his life by jumping from the Golden Gate Bridge. Since then, Hines has been on a mission to use his story to help others find recovery. The film also features some of the world’s leading suicide prevention experts and the stories of other individuals like Hines.
Screenings are offered every Monday through Friday at 7 p.m. Register here at 7 p.m. on the weeknight you would like view to the movie.
Additionally, Vaya is offering free virtual Question, Persuade, and Refer (QPR) Suicide Prevention Trainings twice a month through the end of the year (see attached flyer ).
