VALDESE – Burke Hospice & Palliative Care recently received a $1,500 gift from the Beatrice Cobb Trust. The funds will be used to replace and outdated automated external defibrillator (AED) and assist in the cost of training staff on the equipment. An AED is used during emergency, cardiac situations, said Burke Hospice & Palliative Care Community Nurse Liaison Bobbie Self, and can be administered by any staff member – even non-medical – who are trained on the equipment. ASHEVILLE – December 29, 2020 To protect our patients and staff, at 8 p.m. tonight, Mission Health will be elevating our visitor restrictions to Level 3 at all locations, including Angel Medical Center, Blue Ridge Regional Hospital, CareParters, Highlands-Cashiers Hospital, Mission Hospital McDowell and Transylvania Regional Hospital.
