Principal Duties and Responsibilities

All employees have the following expectations:

Perform quality work within given deadlines and expectations with or without direct supervision
Interact professionally with other employees, members, program participants, volunteers, and other individuals within the community, always being mindful of the YMCA’s four core values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility
Serve effectively as a team contributor on all assignments
Work independently while understanding the necessity for communicating and coordinating work efforts with other appropriate individuals

Supervision responsibilities include:

Direct care of children 6 weeks - 12 years of age
End of shift cleaning and documentation

?Other responsibilities include:

Maintain a positive and supportive attitude towards management, staff, children, and members
Interact with children to create and maintain a fun and safe environment
Greet members and children enthusiastically, making it a point to remember and use their names
Incorporate the YMCA character traits into the Youth Development program (Responsibility, Caring, Respect, and Honesty)
Work to build relationships with members and their children
Keep Child Watch clean
